EnergyWise
AI-powered diesel intelligence

Every power cut burns diesel. Our AI catches the litres that don’t add up.

When the grid drops, your generator burns fuel — and a chunk of it never makes it into any log. EnergyWise’s AI tracks every power cut, works out the diesel it shouldhave taken, and flags every litre that can’t be explained — so theft and padded logs have nowhere to hide.

At this one site, unexplained diesel runs to about ₹4,21,000/year.

The blind spot

Your electricity bill gets audited. Your diesel doesn’t.

You reconcile the DISCOM bill to the rupee. But the fuel your gensets burn during power cuts — often your costliest energy — is tracked on paper, if at all. That gap is where the money leaks.

The outage is never metered

The grid drops, the DG picks up, and for those minutes nobody records the load it carried or the litres it drank. The most expensive hours of your month go unwatched.

Fuel logs are paper and trust

Dip-sticks, registers and refill slips. Pilferage, short-fills and 'adjusted' entries all disappear into the gap between the diesel that was bought and the diesel that was actually burned.

Nothing to check the log against

Without a figure for what each outage should have cost, a padded refuel or a power cut that never happened looks exactly like normal running. No baseline, no way to catch it.

At a single 750 kVA site, the diesel we can’t explain adds up to roughly ₹4,21,000 a year.

How it works

From a power cut to a diesel number — in four steps.

No new fuel-flow sensor, no genset retrofit. Our AI infers the burn from the electricity we already measure and the way your set actually behaves.

01

Detect the cut

We watch the mains at your panel. When voltage and frequency drop, we timestamp the outage — start, end, exact duration.

grid down · DG on
02

Rebuild the load

The meter can't read draw during a total outage, so the AI reconstructs it: your typical load for that same weekday and time window, learned from prior weeks.

same-window baseline
03

Model the burn

The AI applies your genset's fuel curve — adjusted for its age and how hard it's loaded — to turn kWh delivered into litres of diesel.

L = kWh × L/kWh
04

Reconcile & flag

We line the estimate up against what your fuel log says was filled. Every unexplained litre — and every oddity — gets flagged.

estimate vs reality

Honest maths, not a spec sheet.

A brand-new genset near full load sips about 0.27 litres per kWh. Yours isn’t new, and it rarely runs at full load. Two things quietly push the real number up:

  • Age. Every year of wear adds roughly 1% to fuel per unit — an old set is thirstier than its rating claims.
  • Part-load. Run a big set lightly loaded and efficiency collapses — 'wet stacking' burns fuel for nothing.

The AI bakes both into every estimate, so the litres we expect match the litres your set really drinks. The gap that’s left isn’t the engine — it’s diesel that was siphoned, short-filled or logged against a cut that never happened.

What we flag

When the litres don’t add up, you know that day.

Not a month-end surprise buried in a spreadsheet. As soon as consumption drifts from what your outages and load can justify, EnergyWise raises it.

Fuel drawn beyond the run

Saturday's fill outran the diesel that runtime and load can justify by 29 litres — the classic signature of pilferage.

42 min

Runtime with no outage

42 minutes of generator runtime while the mains supply stayed healthy throughout — fuel burned off the record.

45 min

A cut that never happened

A 45-minute outage sits in the register, but the meter shows the site drawing from the grid the whole time.

+40 L

Refuel with no hours to match

A diesel fill logged against runtime the generator never clocked — consumed on paper, not in the tank.

Why it matters

One place to see it. One place to act.

Diesel stops being the line item nobody owns. It becomes a tracked, reconciled, defensible number — the same discipline you already apply to your grid bill.

Every outage, auto-costed

Each power cut becomes the litres and rupees it should have taken — on its own, no register.

Theft & pilferage, surfaced

Siphoned fuel and short-fills show up the day they happen, not months later at audit.

Logs checked, not trusted

Every recorded outage and refuel is reconciled against what the meter actually saw.

A number you can defend

A load-based diesel figure finance and your fuel supplier can't argue with.

Questions

Straight answers.

No. We infer diesel from the electricity we already measure at your panel and your genset's own fuel profile — no fuel meter, no DG retrofit, nothing bolted onto the engine.
